Meet the grandson of the diplomat, Sebastian Michael Mendes, in conversation with Harry Oesterreicher, whose parents and grandparents received life-saving visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in 1940, enabling them to escape from Occupied France via Portugal.

This special event is a benefit for the Sousa Mendes Foundation, dedicated to honoring the memory of Aristides de Sousa Mendes and to sponsoring projects that teach the importance of moral courage in a civilized world.
