About the Family

The DEUTSCH family resided in Figueira da Foz, Portugal in July 1940, presumably after receiving visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes. They sailed on the ship Excambion from Lisbon to New York in October 1940, en route to the Dominican Republic. They returned to New York on the vessel Coamo in March 1941.
