About the Family

Dr. Matfir EPEL and his daughter Galina were in Bayonne on June 20, 1940 and presumably received Portuguese visas there under the authority of Aristides de Sousa Mendes.

The crossed into Portugal and traveled to Brazil on the vessel Serpa Pinto in August of 1940.
