About the Family
The FURLAND family received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 19, 1940.
They crossed into Portugal and traveled from Lisbon to New York in two groups. Maxime Hubert FURLAND traveled with son Richard on the vessel Exeter in July 1940. Eleanor FURLAND traveled with Maxime Jay on the Exochorda in August 1940.
