About the Family

The BESPALOFF/LURIE family was in Lisbon in August 1940, presumably after receiving visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes.

They traveled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the vessel Angola in September 1940, and from there sailed to New York on the ship Brazil in July 1941.
