About the Family
The GROSSMANN family received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 20, 1940.
They crossed into Portugal and emigrated to the United States. Helene and her son Richard GROSSMANN sailed from Lisbon to New York on the vessel Serpa Pinto in January 1941. Rudolf GROSSMAN sailed to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the Santarem in February 1941.
