About the Individual

Hersch LAUTNER, a Polish refugee, resided in Figueira da Foz, Portugal in the summer of 1940, presumably after having received a visa from Aristides de Sousa Mendes. He sailed on the ship Nyassa from Lisbon to New York in April 1941.
