About the Individual

Ivan SORS, a Czech artist, is presumed to have received a visa from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in France in June 1940.

He crossed into Portugal, where he resided in Lisbon. In November of 1940 he sailed on the ship Nyassa from Lisbon to New York.
