The Spinner/Wilensky family received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes in Bordeaux on June 5 and 8, 1940.

Henri and Chana WILENSKY crossed into Portugal and in March of 1941 sailed to New York on the Serpa Pinto. Mariem SPINNER remained in Europe and survived the war in hiding in Brussels.
