About the Family

The STEINFELD family received Portuguese visas in Toulouse from Emile Gissot under the authority of Aristides de Sousa Mendes in June or July 1940.

They crossed into Portugal and sailed on the vessel Serpa Pinto from Lisbon to Rio in November 1940.
