About the Family

The WARSCHAUER family, German Jews, were imprisoned in the Cours du Médoc internment camp in Bordeaux, France in June 1940. The entire camp requested and received visas from Aristides de Sousa Mendes.

In March 1944, Curt, Eleonore and Hannelore WARSCHAUER were deported on Convoy 70 from Drancy to Auschwitz, where they were murdered.
