Elizabeth Brown is a children’s book author, writer, film producer, and college teacher. She is the author of Dancing Through Fields of Color: The Story of Helen Frankenthaler (Abrams) and Like a Diamond in the Sky: Jane Taylor’s Beloved Poem of Wonder and the Stars (Bloomsbury). She earned her MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College as well as a Post-MFA Certificate in the Teaching of Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles. She is also a graduate of the Writer’s Studio at Simon Fraser University.
Melissa Castrillón is an English and Colombian illustrator based in the south east of England. She has illustrated more 12 picture books, written three and her books have been translated into more than 20 languages around the world. In 2019 she was awarded the Gold medal by the Society of illustrators in New York for her wordless book, The Balcony. That same year she was asked to re-imagine the covers for Philip Pullman’s HIS DARK MATERIALS series. In between book projects Melissa spends time designing screen prints & Riso prints.
